Hello 2024 and a Happy New Year to you all

Bonjour. I hope that you all had a lovely relaxing Christmas and are looking forward to an amazing 2024. We have been waiting for this year to arrive for the past 8 years, ever since we purchased Finders Keepers. What do we mean by this? Well I remained in the UK working for the Military whilst Darren went ahead to start developing the business. Fast forward 8 years and here we are. Officially I will no longer be in the Military from June 24 therefore will be joining Darren on the 2 Feb 24 to start preparing for stage two of the business.

Finders Keepers France Camping and Glamping. - We are now hard at work preparing for the opening of the site in June 24. Initially we were planning for May however made the decision to delay by a month to allow us to complete additional renovations. More on this to follow. Currently Darren is working hard on clearing ready for my arrival in 3 weeks. This year will see Walnut Tipi tent, Hazel Belle tent, The Oak inflatable tent, The Acacia inflatable tent and the B2B tent open its doors. The site will still remain small and personal holding the family feel we set out to achieve from the start.

Marcadis Gite - Work has started on a new kitchen with a new oven, microwave, and fridge/freezer. The wetroom will see a window installed to help with ventalation and also a new shower/cubicle. The dining area will have a new armour filled with everything you will need for a romantic meal for 2.

Shady Rest - This will see the biggest transformation of all. A new well overdue tiled floor will be laid with new comfortable furniture and a large dining table. There will be a quiet zone snug area with a TV, DVD player, sofas, library and reading area.

The Prosecco bar - This will see a new overhead canape of plants helping to maintain a dappled light, a new tiled floor and an expansion of the garden planting.

All of the above has been planned due to the opening of the Camping/Glamping site offering more places to escape, more quiet zones and more facilities.

Sadly we do not have any work in progress photos, therefore I will leave you with photographs of our very spoilt rescue dogs Eddie, Nigel and Lewis.

I will be back at the end of Feb with updates on how the work is progressing with photos.

See you all soon

A bientôt
